FAQ

Here are some frequently asked questions to help you get started.

1. I've never had therapy before. What's the process?

We begin with an initial consultation and up to four trial sessions (probationary sessions) to get to know each other. Afterwards, the actual therapy is applied for. Sessions usually take place weekly and last 50 minutes each.

2. What happens in an initial consultation?

The initial consultation serves as an opportunity for us to get to know each other. You can calmly describe your concerns and current symptoms. Together, we will determine whether psychotherapy is right for you and whether we are a good fit.

3. Am I even "sick" enough for therapy?

You don't have to be in deep crisis to seek help. If you are experiencing distress, are under considerable pressure in your daily life, or feel you need mental support, that's reason enough for an initial consultation.

4. What are the differences between individual and group therapy?

In individual therapy, you and your issues are the sole focus. Group therapy additionally offers valuable exchange with like-minded individuals, the opportunity to try out new behaviors in a safe space, and the experience of not being alone with your problems.

5. Can I also start therapy here if I have statutory health insurance?

As this is a private practice, direct billing through the statutory health insurance system is unfortunately not possible. However, under certain conditions, the so-called cost reimbursement procedure may be an option. Please feel free to ask me about it.

6. How much does the therapy cost?

You can see the costs here . Private health insurance companies and public assistance offices usually cover the costs in full after successful application and approval.

7. Can the therapy also take place online?

Yes, video consultations are a flexible and proven alternative to in-person appointments. After an initial personal consultation, we can conduct many appointments easily and securely online.

8. How long are the waiting times for a therapy appointment?

Waiting times vary depending on current workload. An initial consultation can often be arranged quickly; however, there may be a waiting period before starting ongoing therapy. It's best to inquire directly about the current availability.
