ADHD - Therapeutic Group*

Understanding and managing ADHD in adulthood

A daily life that often feels like a cluttered desktop: constant distractions, procrastination, emotional roller coasters, and the feeling of falling short of one's potential despite enormous effort. Does this sound familiar? In this group, we don't view your ADHD as a personal flaw, but rather as a unique neuropsychological function of your brain. You'll learn how ADHD manifests in adulthood and develop concrete, practical strategies together with others who understand. The group's focus areas: Understanding neurobiology: What happens in the brain with ADHD? (Focus on dopamine and the reward system). Time management & focus: Strategies to combat procrastination and create a functional daily routine. Emotion regulation: Better control of impulses and mitigate the notorious "rejection sensitivity." Utilizing strengths & self-acceptance: From inner critic to a loving relationship with yourself.

When fear takes over, the world shrinks. Whether it's sudden panic attacks, constant, debilitating worries, or the fear of social situations: fear feels existential and often uncontrollable. The good news is: fear follows biological and psychological patterns – and these patterns can be broken.

This group combines sound knowledge from modern psychotherapy with concrete, tangible exercises. You will learn why your nervous system goes into "alarm" mode and how you can actively regulate it again.

The group's main focus areas:

  • The fear cycle: What happens in the body and mind when we are afraid? (Why physical symptoms do not necessarily mean danger).

  • Immediate help in case of panic: breathing techniques, grounding exercises and the biological "reversal" of the nervous system.

  • Mental detox: How to stop destructive worry and disaster scenarios in time.

  • The path back to life: How healthy boundaries and gradual approach (exposure) can increase the inner radius of movement again.

Procedure & General Conditions:

The group meets regularly for 100 minutes in a secure, virtual space (via certified video consultation). Participation requires a one-time, in-person consultation at my practice for individual diagnosis and assessment. Fees are strictly based on the German Fee Schedule for Physicians (GOP). Privately insured patients and those eligible for public assistance are usually fully reimbursed.
