Many people report feeling restless or uneasy. We can see some people's hands shaking or their legs dribbling nervously. Other people, on the other hand, often don't show that their heart is pounding inside. Below you'll find three tips on how to deal with restless feelings.
1. Emotional protocol

To understand why you are restless, nervous and tense, it can be very helpful if you keep a little notebook and write it down. When does your inner restlessness occur? What happened before? When do you experience these physical sensations more strongly or less strongly in your life? Do you feel overwhelmed, are you perhaps taking on too much of yourself? Is something missing in order to be satisfied? These notes can give you an initial clue as to what your restlessness is all about. You don't have to find any solutions yet, but you can start by writing down the feelings and thoughts that come to you without making any judgments.
2. Meet your fear for tea

Fear is a normal and important physical sensation that we humans feel. It is important and sends us messages that can protect us. Imagine that fear is an independent feeling within you. It is part of you, but it does not completely define you. Try imagining meeting up with your fear for tea, like with a good friend. Listen to it. What does it have to tell you? Are you living a happy life or is something bothering you? What does fear say when you think about your family, your job or other important aspects of your life? By meeting up with your fear for tea regularly, you can derive important impulses from it. Do you want to face your fear and change something? Do you want to give fear more space and bring a little more security into your life? All of this is up to you and your fear. Also note that a cup of tea with your fear is limited in time. So consciously take your time, without distractions, and feel free to write along. Finish the tea with your fear and reward yourself for meeting with her and taking care of yourself.
3. Meet yourself with acceptance

Facing yourself and getting to the bottom of your inner unrest is a brave and important matter. Be proud of all your steps, no matter how small they seem to you. Realize that working on yourself takes space and time, costs energy, and often brings tears. So give yourself the space and time and deal with yourself at your own pace, on your own terms. Self-development is a project. It's okay the way you do it. Setbacks are also part of working with your own fears. And that's okay too. The important thing is that you get up again and carry on. You can be proud of that and confidently pat yourself on the back.
